MYTH OF AN ATOM is the brain child of Visual Designer NON Visuals and Musician/Producer Fallen Atom. The concept was born from late night conversations exploring the relationship of sound, myth, and philosophy spanning over a decade. The live audiovisual performance eclectically fuses elements of hiphop, rnb, future bass, and electronic soundscapes with fluid sound reactive imagery.
This Installation explores the nature of light, sound, and the cinematic experience with a live band. ATOM and NON are accompanied by other musicians behind a translucent screen that is projection mapped by NON's visuals. The traditional back-drop is altered by having the performers immersed in the space, breaking the confines of the square from within. The visuals and music have a modular nature, making each show a unique adventure for the viewer and the performers. Simply, we'd like to tell a story.
Fallen Atom, a Charleston, SC native, is a rising presence in the Pop, Hip-Hop, RnB, and Jazz scenes. Atom has played guitar and bass with the likes of Skylar Grey, Elise Testone, Queen Latifah, Eric Benet, and many more. His electro-future bass productions seek to expand the sonic boundaries of Hip-Hop, R&B, EDM, Rock and Jazz. His eclectic influences span from Jimi Hendrix to Flume and Kendrick Lamar. After pursuing a jazz studies degree at College of Charleston and Queens College, he moved to Brooklyn, NY where he currently resides as an instrumental figure in the live and studio music scenes of New York City. Fallen will release his debut album as composer and producer late 2017 where he chose 9 tracks from a 100 song project he started in 2015.
New York based digital artist Christian Hannon a.k.a. NON Visuals is a Charleston native who has merged his interests in art and technology into an audio visual experience called projection mapping. Paired with live music, Hannon projects his own moving images onto 3D structures and installations to create an exceptional audiovisual experience.
Hannon has worked with a wide array of musical acts such as Kris Bowers, Spanky McCurdy, Lex's Sadler's Rhythm and Stealth, as well as partnering with composer Ricardo Romaneiro.
Romaneiro and Hannon have explored audiovisual and immersive theater concepts with ensembles such as Metropolis, NU Deco, and LPR Ensemble.
"Hannon’s projections never fail to wow his audiences. When projection mapping combines with live music, it seamlessly blends into a larger, ethereal experience."
